The Cardiff structural engineering course is very broad and deep. The teaching staff are all active researchers with high levels of industrial experience. It's a small course so you will be taught by the lecturers personally， which means that feedback on assignments can be relatively quick and easy to understand. The class sizes are also relatively small allowing for an open dialogue between teachers and students throughout the course. I think my academic results speak for themselves but I would say there has been quite a bit of variation in the abilities of the other students as some years you have extremely strong students who fly through the modules while others can be a challenge if you don't keep up with their pace. Personally， I enjoyed every moment of it because of the wealth of knowledge that has been passed onto me from my tutors， many of whom are respected academics in the field.
